Autumn light and playing felt

I discovered lately the fun to play with pure wool and transform it in a consistent material. I was using both wet felting and needle felting, alone or in combination with the other method. These are my first attempts and you can see the shy-childish shape of the pattern. However this makes me happy as looks that there is room for improvement and being on the right direction will drive me to very good and improved results. Yes! I am optimistic as I really liked doing these little things during one weekend.

Now what I need is time, mood and some inspiration to develop my ideas into nice pieces. To be continued.

1. An open semi-bag. At the end I arranged it in a shape of box to keep my cream tubes

2. A traditional bag made using the same pattern but having a flap. It is still work in progress, I have to add the handles.

3. A flower made using wet felting and the finishing colours are done by needle felting.

Sunny day in Prague

Yeterday I did some new shape flowers for a friend. This morning sun was so nicely and friendly shinning that made me took few pictures of the flowers and share them with you.

They are made of felt with some black wooden beads the yellow one and golden glass beads the green one.

Yellow flower has 6cm diameter.

Green flower has 9cm diameter:

I love the shadows in these pictures :).

Green – Yellow felt beads necklace

Today I am not going to post any tutorial. I only wanted to share with you my first wet felted beads necklace.

Beads are wet felted, my first try I did yesterday evening and I am pretty satisfied with the result.

The string is silk ribbon.

Next time I will add also some wooden beads.
